How did you get into your sport: The need for change in my life and fitness.
Hardest thing about your sport: Choosing races to compete in (There’s so many quality events annually:)
What does your regular training week consists of: In terms of time around 8-10 hrs a week (5-6 days a week) Hill work, interval and tempo training, recovery runs and one longer one. Averages out to around 75 kilometres a year with around 100,000 meters of elevation gain.
How do you keep motivated: The love of sport, the support from friends and my wife and kids. (not necessarily in that order;)
Goals (Future Plans and Career expectations): To continue to enjoy life through running, cooking and coaching others to achieve their goals.
Best piece of advice you have been given: Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
