State: QLD
Sport: Triathlon
Sporting Accomplishment: Representing Australia at 3 age group World Championships. There’s no feeling like knowing you earned that green and gold suit!
How did you get into your sport: I tagged along with my sister and her friend to training one day and have never looked back. She has since decided she is not a morning person but I can’t get enough of it!
Hardest thing about your sport: The time management involved to be at your best in all three sports while also fitting in life in general around that, it’s a constant battle!
What does your regular training week consists of: Training wise it consists of 5 swim sessions, 4 cycle sessions, 6 run sessions and 1 pilates session. Add to that another 15 hours of coaching and it’s no wonder bedtime is usually my favourite time of the day and an early one at that!
How do you keep motivated: I’ve almost never heard a triathlete say that they had the perfect race so the search for that perfection definitely keeps me going and also having a long list of goals no matter how small or large they may be so there is always something to strive for.
Goals (Future Plans and Career expectations): Podium finish/ win a long course race and be a consistent high performer across all distances of the sport.
Best piece of advice you have been given: Just back yourself. Just let it sink in for a moment because it’s so simple but when you really think about it the only thing stopping you from reaching your goals is how much you believe in yourself!
