How did you get into the sport?
After finishing my competitive swimming career, I found myself wanting to enter a new competitive sport when I arrived at University. I joined the triathlon team and fell in love with it.
Hardest thing about your sport?
The unpredictability of the sport mixed with the endurance makes it like no other.
What does your regular training week consist of?
I will roughly swim 5 times a week with 2 sea swims and 3 pool swims
Run 70km and bike around 350-450km a week.
In total, this will be about 25 hours a week
How do you keep motivated?
I keep motivated by surrounding myself with good teammates and a great support system. I also find having races planned helps me
Goals (Future Plans and Career Expectations)
My goals for the 2025 season are to race my first World Cup as well as move into the top 200 world ranking. I would want to podium a continental cup this year. As well as to hopefully win the elite male’s aquathlon world champs.
Best Piece you advise you have received?
My best advice was to give triathlon a try and to trust the process because it will take time.
