Description

The staples of any energy drink, bar, or gel are carbohydrates. In this regard, Hammer Gel stands alone in today’s glutted market of energy products. A look at the ingredient list on the label will tell you why: we use long-chain complex carbohydrates for smooth, consistent energy release. There’s only a trace of sugar, so Hammer Gel doesn’t set off wild insulin spikes causing “sugar high” and “sugar crash.” You won’t find our products saturated with cheap, ineffective, commercial-grade sugars, which can ruin health and performance.

Hammer Gel is an easily digested, concentrated source of complex carbohydrates with four amino acids added to enhance performance and prolong energy levels during intense training and competition. Hammer Gel has a syrup-like consistency that mixes easily with water if so desired. You can drink it straight, dilute it, or use it to flavor other Hammer Nutrition fuels. Use it before, during, and after exercise.

Since 1995, Hammer Gel has been the benchmark of concentrated carbohydrate energy, primarily because of what it doesn’t contain—Hammer Gel has no added refined, simple sugars, and no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners.

Choose either single-serving pouches or cost-effective 26-serving jugs for even, reliable energy, not the “flash and crash” of sugar-loaded products. You get only what’s good for you: complex carbohydrates, natural ingredients, and real fruit. The result is a great-tasting concentrated fuel source that goes down and digests easier than other energy gels.

Hammer Gel is versatile as well; you can drink it straight, add it to your water bottle, or combine it with Sustained Energy, HEED, or Perpetuem to create a variety of tasty energy combinations for any length activity—anywhere, anytime.

Note: Hammer Flask holds 5-6 servings. Only Espresso and Tropical flavors contain caffeine, 50 mg for Espresso and 25 mg for Tropical per serving.

Mixing / Usage Instructions
Consume 0.5-2.5 servings per hour (see chart above), along with 475-830 ml of plain water per hour from a separate source.

Notes
Hammer Gel may be used as the sole source of calories during workouts and races up to two hours, perhaps up to three hours under certain circumstances. When training sessions or races go much longer than that, select either Perpetuem or Sustained Energy as your primary fuel source.

Hammer Gel is perfectly compatible with all other Hammer Nutrition fuels. During ultra distance events, while Hammer Gel cannot be your sole source of calories every single hour, it may be used occasionally to give you a little variety in what you’re consuming.

Hammer Flask holds 5-6 servings.
Espresso Hammer Gel contains 50 mg caffeine per serving.
Tropical Hammer Gel contains 25 mg caffeine per serving.
You can use Hammer Gel to flavor Sustained Energy.

Hammer Gel flavors can be mixed for a variety of tastes. Try these combinations:

This has been my longtime favourite gel. It tastes just like apple pie and I can tolerate it just as well 6 hours into an event as I do at the start. I’m almost keen to try warming it up for winter races.

I use Hammer gels during runs longer than an hour. Unlike gels with simple sugars, Hammer gives a more consistent energy boost that lasts longer. They also doesn’t taste too sweet, my favourite flavours are Nocciola, chocolate and espresso.

Nocciola has been my gel of choice for 2 years now. Hammer Gel is definitely the secret behind not only performing on race day but also being resilient in training which allows me to back-up multiple sessions in one day or the tougher and longer sessions throughout my training week. If anyone is keen reach for new limits in long distance running and achieve your stretch targets, Hammer Gels are the answer!

After trying a few different gels on the market, once I tried Hammer Gel I looked no further. The consistency is smooth and palatable, making it easy to swallow and digest. The flavours are not too sweet and genuinely taste like what the flavour is. I use Hammer Gels all through 100km runs and my energy levels remain high and consistent the whole time. And the best thing is I still feel like a Hammer Gel after running 90km! My all time favourite flavours are raspberry, huckleberry, vanilla, nocciola and apple-cinnamon. Definitely recommended!

I couldn’t agree more with another reviewer here – the flavours are actually really yummy. No flavour fatigue and you can look forward to your gel. I have used Hammer gels for several years now for training, Ironman distance triathlons and long trail runs. My husband & daughter also use Hammer gels for one reason – they work and they taste good. We love all the flavours, my fave is probably peanut butter & chocolate or nocciola but it’s good to mix them up a bit and get the contrast with the fruity flavours of the raspberry, bananna and apple-cinnamon.

Best gel on the market, the jugs / dispenser flask combo give great value, no sticky, wasteful sachets to carry around till the end of my run. Hammer gel gives good, even feed of energy with no ups and downs of sugar highs and lows. I use it for long trail runs, vanilla is my favourite flavour.

I needed a gel without fructose and tried the Espresso flavour as a trial for my last long run before my marathon. It tastes amazing, I was actually looking forward to the end of each 45min intervals so I could have another and importantly it was the first long run where I had no GI issues. So I ordered many more. Great product!
