Description
Never before has such a complete and effective endurance drink been available to athletes.
Perpetuem is a result of several years of research and thousands of miles of testing in a variety of endurance disciplines. Since its introduction in 2003, Perpetuem has allowed athletes to conquer the most extreme workouts and races with complete confidence! Perpetuem represents the ultimate, never-before-available link to satisfying the body’s fueling requirements no matter how long or difficult your exercise session or race.
- Carbohydrates – As with all Hammer Nutrition fuels, we never add simple sugars to the carbohydrate profile. Perpetuem contains a specific maltodextrin, which provides nearly 87% of its caloric composition in long chain carbohydrates.
- Protein – A calcium-enhanced soy protein isolate known as “XT” makes up nearly 10% of the caloric profile of Perpetuem, the same percentage that is cannibalized from muscle tissue during long, slow endurance workouts. This particular soy protein contains a very high amount of intact, cardiovascular-enhancing isoflavones.
- Fat – A de-oiled “super lecithin” (extracted from the soybean) is ideal for consistently and reliably fueling the body and maximizing energy production from stored fatty acids.
- Sweetener – Perpetuem contains Energy Smart®, the same healthy sweetener in Hammer Gel.

Hammer Perpetuem has been my go-to product for every ultra-endurance distance event I have completed. I use the orange vanilla flavour and find that it mixes well with a shaker and the pleasant (not sweet or over-powering flavour) flavour is tolerable for the duration of ultra-endurance distance events (11h +). Not getting tired of the taste of what you are drinking is a game-changer in terms of performance. No cramps or stomach issues either.

Perpetuem provides me with the consistent energy levels I need, which, due to their gradual release, do not spike and fluctuate the way other sugary products I have trialled do. Im an ultra distance trail runner and I like to start with the chocolate flavour for the first half of a race up to 5 hours. In the back half When the body and mind begin to fatigue I switch to the cafe latte for that extra boost and focus.

I trained with and used solely Hammer products as a nutritional source for Ultraman Australia this year. Started each day with a caffeine gel 5 minutes before start. After that it was all Perpetuem. 10hrs day one, 11hrs day two and 9 1/2 hrs day three. Not to sweet. Not one stomach issue. Kept me going all day and I never tired of the taste. Absolutely perfect endurance fuel. Absolutely the best way to fuel for endurance events.

I was introduced to Perpetuem by a friend who saw the amount of gels and other products I had for a long race. He recommended me Perpetuem, claiming I would only need a bottle with a couple of scoops. I was skeptical and had a race coming up in 1 week time. I didn’t have the chance to test the 2hrs + ride in the last week so I ordered a sample and decided to give it a go in the race (a bit risky since they say do not try something new, or practice it before)
The race lasted 2hrs and 35 mins, I only took with me 500ml of water mixed with 3 scoops of Perpetuem divided in 250ml reusable flaks and 1x 750ml bottle of plain water and 1 x 750ml of water with electrolytes.
I managed to perform really well, never felt hungry, it was nice to my stomach and my energy level was high at all times! As soon as I finished the race I ordered the big canister

Perpetuem, I love it, no more sticky gels and mess. Plus it really works. I made a 4 hour bottle and 1 litre of heed. That lasted a 4 hour trail run. No bloating no energy lows and my concentration was laser focused. Afterwards I drank 500ml bottle with 2 scoops of recoverite. The Heed, Perpetuem and Recoverite kept me going for 8 hours.

I poured 1 serve (69g) of powder via a funnel into the hammer flask. I then poured water into the flask and shook vigorously! Took it on a ride of around 2 hours and sipped it with my water bottle. Worked really well and the taste was not sickly sweet at all. The consistency was probably slightly thinner than a gel. Unfortunately, on my second ride it fell out of my pouch and now I’ve lost the flask! Bugger! Hey Hammer… how about make a flask that clips onto the water bottle? You can thank me later for the idea !!!
